My GlassesUSA Nightmare: A Warning About Defective Lenses & Warranty Woes ⚠️
I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering buying from GlassesUSA. My initial excitement quickly soured because, as I've come to realize, everything about working with GlassesUSA was great until the glasses defect surfaced. I paid for premium lenses including the $48 extra for the Super Hydrophobic coating. These lenses are nearly impossible to clean. I have 9 pairs of Zenni glasses and not a single one of them have this issue. The only reason I tried GlassesUSA is because Zenni didn't offer the frames I wanted. My attempt to resolve this defect through their customer service was so frustrating that I felt compelled to share my experience.
Customer: I am contacting you again about order #105180754. The Super Hydrophobic coating is defective. The lenses are constantly smudged and impossible to clean. Offering me a 50% store credit to return them isn't a solution for a defective product under your 365-day warranty.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration with the lens coating. I can see your case is currently with our review team. As per our policy, they will need to assess the issue before a warranty replacement can be approved.
Customer: But I was told that will take 3 to 5 days for an email! This is unacceptable. I paid extra for this specific feature. Why can't I speak to a live agent on the phone to resolve this? This is clearly a defect, not a user issue.
