Let me tell you about my terrible online shopping experience, which I hope serves as a warning to others. I was so frustrated by what felt like a truly dishonest process and glitches on the website, making it impossible to collect the offer I was promised. I felt compelled to engage with customer service because the situation was simply unacceptable. My glasses were the correct style and prescription, but the company didn't honor the promotion, acting unprofessional. As I see it, they were "Dishonest, doesn't honor promos. Makes it impossible to collect offer when the site is full of glitches. No customer Service 24 hours, no agent. Unprofessional. Will NOT return and I do NOT recommend them."
Customer: I'm calling because your website glitched, and I didn't get the Buy One Get One promotion I was supposed to receive at checkout, despite it being advertised. This feels incredibly dishonest. CS Rep: I apologize for the difficulty you experienced with our promotion and the website. I understand how frustrating that must be when trying to complete your purchase. Let me look into your order details. Customer: I've already spent so much time on this. What you're suggesting is that I "RETURN AND REORDER" just to get the promo you messed up and admitted was an error. My glasses are perfectly fine! Why can't you just credit back my card? That seems like a simple solution, but apparently "Nah that's too easy." CS Rep: I hear your frustration, and I truly am sorry for the inconvenience this process causes. Our system requires a reorder to properly apply the BOGO promotion in cases where it didn't register initially. I can guide you through the return and reorder steps. Customer: So, despite your company admitting the mistake, I have to go through the hassle of returning glasses I already like, then reorder them and wait again? This is why I called, because I found your solution, "Return them (even though their correct style and prescription.) to RETURN AND REORDER to get the bogo they messed up and admitted," to be completely unreasonable and a waste of my time.
